Introducing Group 42 Notes

Group42.ca has a new notes section: https://notes.group42.ca!

Group 42 Notes is my latest attempt to curate useful information for myself and others.

It's off to a modest start with entries for Bash, Git, Homebrew, and the REAPER DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). I've also moved the Drupal 6 and Drupal 7 Ref sections there. The rest of the Tech Ref section will soon follow.

Why the changes?

The Drupal and Tech Ref sections are awkward to maintain and didn't provide the flexibility I wanted. I stopped updating them quite a while ago. That didn't stop me from keeping notes locally, and I have quite a collection on a number of topics. I've been looking for a better way of sharing them for quite some time.

About a month ago the pieces came together to create Group 42 Notes while researching static websites for an unrelated project. I was already writing the notes in Markdown and AsciiDoc, it was an easy move to publish them using a static website. Hugo had just the theme: The Hugo Learn Theme.

I hope to write more about my system of note taking and the technical implementation. In the meantime, leave a comment if you have any feedback or questions!
